This page is dedicated to giving all participants/students/parents/guardians the latest and up to date information on our approach and policies throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and how it affects our business moving forward.
We want to ensure that we give all customers peace of mind and reassurance that when booking with us that we are taking the safety of everyone into account which of course has always been our number one priority.
Please note that this page will be updated regularly and as soon as possible when official guidance updates/changes.
Physical Timetable updates
From Thursday 23rd March 2020, our physical timetable temporarily closed, however, we are NOW OPEN with a full timetable from Monday 7th September after a successful trial summer timetable.
Please see below a brief overview of the procedures we have put into place to ensure the safety of our students and staff. This will continue to be updated in line with the government guidelines as they are announced. Full information has been emailed to each student/participant ahead of our reopening.
ALL classes MUST be booked in advance. Please do not turn up to a class without having booked as we will need to, unfortunately, turn you away.
Children’s/Teens classes will be booked half termly and invoices for the first half of the autumn term will be sent by the end of this week, all credits will be applied.
Adult classes will still be booked in the same way as we have done throughout the summer and are still at limited capacity; a weekly booking form will be sent to you on a Sunday evening between 5 & 6 pm in preparation for the upcoming week. For example, on Sunday 6th September a booking form will be sent out for you to book onto classes for the week commencing 7th September. Once you have filled in the online form, received, and paid your invoice then your space is confirmed, and you are able to attend your class. If when clicking the form, it says that we are ‘no longer accepting bookings’ this means the class is full. We will be running online live-streamed sessions if the classes are in high demand. NO CASH PAYMENTS will be taken. Please also remember that if you have booked a space in a class you must pay the invoice even if you are then unable to attend. If a class has less than the required amount of bookings AJ Dance and Fitness have the right to cancel the class for that week.
Should we enter a localised lockdown all classes will continue to run but will move to online classes. You will be notified accordingly should this happen.
You will be asked to fill in a health form each week before your first class of the week. This is also an online form and must be filled in before you attend the class, a link will be sent to you. This is for contact tracking purposes.
Social distancing will still be in place and the halls will be marked out with coloured spots and markers. Adults and children will be asked to stay within their area to ensure social distancing.
There will be a queuing system in place at all our venues please though only arrive a couple of minutes before your class time. Your teacher will let you in once the room is ready. When entering ANY community building adults are now required to wear a mask, once you are in the hall your class is taking place in you are then able to remove it as guidelines state that a mask does not need to be worn for exercise.
Before entering you will be asked to sanitise your hands at the sanitising station. Please bring minimal things with you and where possible arrive ready. We will be ensuring a one-way system at our venues. All doors will be labelled accordingly please follow the signs.
At this time, due to government guidance, we are unable to offer any changing or waiting facilities this meaning that parents dropping children to classes will need to wait outside the building, or in your car, pop to the shops etc. Please do not worry we have contact information for everyone, so should there be a problem, we will contact you immediately. Please also try and ensure you are changed before arriving at the venue, if this isn’t possible then you are able to use the toilet facilities however these are limited so if everyone needed to get changed we may never do any dancing!! We are sorry and know that this is not ideal but to ensure we are adhering to all the government guidance this is the way it needs to be at the moment.
We are now asking you to fill in a brand-new registration form please which is on the website. There will no longer be paper registration forms in use, and this also gives us the opportunity to ensure all our details are up together (many have you have attended our classes for years and information is bound to change!) Please follow the link below to register it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. If you do not fill in a new registration form you will be removed from our mailing list by the end of September, this also means if we don’t hold any details for you, you will be unable to attend our classes. Thank you in advance for your co-operation with this.
We are aware that these class procedures may seem a little overwhelming but please ensure we will make these as simple and quick as possible. All the procedures above have been tried and tested throughout the summer timetable and we have made some adaptions where necessary.
We are so excited to be able to welcome you back to classes if we haven’t seen you over the summer but of course if you don’t feel now is the right time for you then that is absolutely fine and we look forward to welcoming you when it is. Government guidelines are likely to change and develop as we move through the Autumn term, any adaptions we need to make will be notified to you in an email.
We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we all adapt to these regulations.
